Diamond Trellis Daffodil Pattern

Diamond Trellis Daffodil Pattern

Still on daffodils. Still not done with them.

This time I wanted to try a completely different structure, a diamond trellis layout where the stems and leaves do the work of building the grid. The daffodil motif sits right in the center of each diamond, almost like it's framed.

Color is the thing I keep circling back to. I'm genuinely drawn to black and white. It feels the most like me, the most honest to how I actually work, with black fineliner pens or a simple black brush. But I keep second-guessing myself. Is it boring? I don't know. Maybe boring isn't even the right word. I just can't tell if I'm being true to my instincts or playing it safe.

Keep reading to see how this one came together, and I'd love to know what you think.
